North Stone LLC, a subsidiary of Navajo Nation-owned Diné Development Corporation, has won a contract to provide technology services for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, the company announced Sept. 22.
The contract covers IT maintenance, cloud operations, software development, cybersecurity and service desk support for the agency’s Directorate of IT Services and Solutions. North Stone said the work will support about 3,500 personnel at more than 300 locations worldwide.
DDC did not disclose the contract’s value, term or award number. Those details could not be independently verified from the public award records reviewed by Tribal Business News.
DDC provides IT, engineering and professional services through a group of companies. It said its businesses have supported Air Force technology programs for more than two decades.
North Stone recorded about $26.4 million in federal prime contract obligations over the past three fiscal years, according to data from HigherGov. The figure measures money obligated across its contracts; it is not the value of the newly announced AFOSI award.
The award follows DDC’s Sept. 10 announcement that it had achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 after an independent assessment. The certification addresses requirements for protecting controlled unclassified information in Defense Department contracting.
DDC also announced this month that it had paid a $750,000 dividend to the Navajo Nation, its largest single dividend to date. The money will go to the Nation’s general fund. DDC said it has contributed more than $27 million to the Navajo Nation since its founding in 2004.
