Seneca Resorts & Casinos plans to invest $47 million to renovate nearly all of the hotel rooms at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino as the Seneca Nation-owned gaming company expands capital spending across its Western New York properties.
The project will renovate 594 of the hotel’s 604 rooms and suites across 22 floors, covering about 394,000 square feet. Construction is scheduled to begin in October and proceed in three-floor phases through December 2027.
The investment comes as the Niagara Falls resort reports continued demand for its hotel business. Seneca Niagara recorded more than 181,000 occupied room nights in 2025 and approximately 141,000 through Aug. 17 this year, according to the company.
The $47 million project is the largest of several recently disclosed investments by Seneca Resorts & Casinos. The company completed a $2.7 million renovation of the Seneca Café at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino earlier this year and is spending $5.8 million to renovate the property’s Thunder Mountain Buffet, with completion scheduled for November.
Seneca Resorts & Casinos also said it is developing additional projects at Seneca Niagara, Seneca Allegany and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino over the next several years. It did not disclose the scope, costs or timelines for those investments.
Seneca Niagara includes 147,000 square feet of gaming space, nearly 2,200 slot machines and more than 50 table games, along with restaurants, entertainment and meeting space.
